Iceland is situated exactly at the central part of Mid Atlantic Ridge. The Mid Atlantic Ridge is a 40.000 kilometers split path inside of the ocean floor that was formed by the splitting of North American and Eurasian tectonic plate. This Ridge had formed Iceland to be a remote island in about 20-25 million years ago which had been integrated with the time frame of formed active volcano Iceland.

In an integrated time frame, west part of Iceland to west of volcanic zone is to be part of North American plate and east part of Iceland is to be part of Eurasian plate. In the point of where the two tectonic plates are linked, the plates grind, smash, push, slip each other in the way of unlocking tensions and releasing lava and after some of the time the cooled lava become a new ground for new island to be formed. At the time of new Iceland island formed, the splitting area is named constructive border. That is in the processing time of Iceland millions of years ago.

Eyjafjallajökull and Bárðarbunga are almost about the same volcano Iceland. The geological processes which are tectonic movements under the ground in the outer earth’s layer formed both volcanoes. The ices are on top of both volcanoes. As well, the depth of the magma inside both volcanoes are in the same distance. Compared to Eyjafjallajökull, Bárðarbunga is a lot  bigger and much magma contained to be released.

Bárðarbunga is situated at the main city of Iceland with height of about 2000 meters over the sea surface becoming the second highest volcano in the country. The volcano is topped with ice called Glacier part of the biggest volcanic integration in Iceland of which composed of some volcanoes with length of 190 kilometers. Eyjafjallajökull is another volcano in Iceland. It had erupted in the year of 2010 flocking ashes spanning Europe disrupting England and North European airline industry.

Although the effect of eruption of  Eyjafjallajökull had spanned to Europe, the impact ofthe eruption on the country of Iceland itself had not been much. There had been only few of ashes near the top of the volcanoe flown around the Iceland. It had been phenomenal on Eyjafjallajökull eruption from tectonic movements. Iceland had been formed as result of volcanic processes on the constructive border in the middle of upper Mid Atlantic Ridge.

There are very similar processes of geological movement underground forming the volcanoes that offer unlimited delivery of geothermal resources. The use of geothermal resources is functioned as free source of geothermal heating for most of the households in Iceland nation. The Iceland is therefore benefited from its free, low price and the greenest type of resources in heat energy. Hot boiling water springs are almost easy to be discovered in most places. The nature resources has provided clean environment and become the non existence of pollution energy resources for Iceland. As well, the green energy caused Iceland to be among the most clean countries around the globe.
